Reflection 8 - TPACK

 Hello, everyone! My friends and I created a presentation slide about TPACK for the Technology class. Technology has become an important part of students in school or within the classroom to help increase their understanding of learning and encourage us to collaborate with others. So here I am wanna share about TPACK!

WHAT IS TPACK?

TPACK: Technology Pedagogical Content Knowledge Framework.

TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE (TK)

  • Refers to knowledge about various technologies
  • Ranging from low-tech technologies to digital technologies
  • Example: from using pencil and whiteboard to digital videos and interactive whiteboards

CONTENT KNOWLEDGE (CK)
  • Refers to knowledge about actual subject matter that is to be learned or taught.
  • Know the content to be taught
  • Example: Teacher knows the specific content knowledge such as orthographic, phonic, and functional knowledge of the Chinese Language.

PEDAGOGICAL KNOWLEDGE (PK)
  • Refer to the specialized knowledge of teachers for creating effective and learning environments for all students.
  • Know about teaching and know what they teach
  • 5 Major approached: Constructivist, Collaborative, Integrative, Reflective, Inquiry-Based Learning
  • Example: Science teacher as a teacher rather than scientist

Reflection 10 - Our Last Class With Dr.Azli

   Hello, everyone! Today is the last class for the technology subject this semester.  As planned, the selected group presented about TPACK which we had discussed in the group in the last class session. TPACK consists of three basic knowledge components namely technology, pedagogy, and content which is knowledge and understanding based on content teaching with appropriate pedagogical and technological methods. TPACK is an optimization technique for a whole unit that can produce an effective, efficient, and interesting learning process.  Dr. Azli also shared the feedback from the students about the issues faced throughout the 1st semester. This survey is good for knowing the problems faced by students and allows the university to improve the implementation of teaching and learning.
